There are two main components of the Maintenance Factor:


1. Initial Maintenance Factor (MF_initial):

The initial Maintenance Factor accounts for the reduction in illuminance over time due to factors such as lamp lumen depreciation, dirt accumulation, and optical losses in the luminaire.


2. Maintained Maintenance Factor (MF_maintained):

The maintained Maintenance Factor considers the effects of maintenance activities, including lamp replacement, cleaning, and adjustments. It reflects the illuminance levels achieved after regular maintenance efforts.
